Is temporary tattoo paper skin safe?

Yes it is skin safe unless you have sensitive skin. The layer which contacts skin is adhesive layer and it is FDA certified. Just do not apply on sensitive areas of skin such as near the eyes. And if any irritation occurs, remove the tattoo .

How can I make the applied tattoos looking more real?

You can make the applied tattoo less shiny and look more real by applying sunscreen or some alcohol based skin toner afterwards.
